You can step back into the golden age of radio theatre and celebrate 100 years of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) drawn from a bestselling book at a performance coming to Aurora Town Square next month.

Pathway to the Stars: A Live Radio Experience will bring to life true tales of courage and heroism, drawn from the bestselling book Pathway to the Stars: 100 Years of the Royal Canadian Air Force by Michael Hood and Tom Jenkins, on Nov. 9 and 10.

The performance features an ensemble of five talented actors portraying more than 30 characters, complete with live sound effects and music, a Town of Aurora news release said.

"Four gripping episodes from the Pathway to the Stars radio play podcast will transport the audience through harrowing and heartwarming moments in Canadian aviation history. From daring missions to personal stories of resilience, these episodes showcase the extraordinary bravery of RCAF heroes across generations."

Two-time Juno Award nominee and CRMA winner Jason Wilson will host the event and perform live music.

"The audience will feel as though they’ve travelled back in time to the days when families gathered around the radio to hear dramatic re-tellings of real-life events. Attendees will also become part of the action, taking on the role of the studio audience, amplifying the authenticity of the performance," the release stated.
