Markham IT specialist Jaiganesh Gajendran is planning to buy a home after winning $1 million.
The married father of two matched all seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Aug. 20, 2024 Lotto Max draw for his first big win after playing the lottery with OLG weekly for the past three years.
“I went to the store and used the ticket checker to see how I did on my Lotto Max ticket. When I scanned it and saw that I had won $1 million, I couldn’t believe it! My heart felt like it had stopped,” Jaiganesh recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall. “This win has been a huge blessing!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Bur Oak Avenue in Markham.
