A York Region food inspector.

York Region Public Health inspectors charged a restaurant in Vaughan with food safety violations last week.

According to a public health inspection report, Max’s of Manila, 1520 Steeles Ave. W., was charged on Oct. 9 with failing to provide hot and cold running water in a food preparation area and failing to remove garbage when necessary to maintain a sanitary condition.

The report notes failure to maintain hot water sanitizer at 82°C or greater and/or for at least 10 seconds, failure to maintain equipment in good repair, failure to remove garbage and liquid waste when necessary to maintain sanitary condition, failure to ensure walls are kept clean and in good repair, and failure to ensure floors are kept clean and in good repair.
