Man arrested following indecent acts at Newmarket bus shelters

Police say a suspect exposed himself in three separate incidents last week

Feng Lin Ye, 35, of no fixed address, has been charged with three counts of indecent act and four counts of breach of probation.

A 36-year-old man of no fixed address is facing charges of sexual assault, indecent acts, and assaulting an officer in connection to three incidents at Newmarket bus shelters.

York Regional Police said a victim was waiting at a bus shelter near Davis Drive and Eagle Street on Oct. 8 at 7:30 a.m. when a man approached, exposed himself, removed his pants, and began to touch his genitals.

Police received a second report about a similar incident at the bus shelter at 7:15 p.m., where a man was naked and touched his genitals, a police news release stated. In both instances, the suspect had left the area before police were notified.

Officers responded to a third incident in the area of Davis and Main Street North on Oct. 9  following reports of an indecent act, police said. The suspect was sitting inside a bus terminal, had his pants down, and was touching his genitals. The man was arrested and taken into custody.

Police are releasing an image of the suspect as they believe there are more victims and are encouraging them to come forward.
