Town of Aurora closing portion of Henderson for 11 days

The closure, beginning Oct. 22, is to allow for sewer connection works near Poplar

A stretch of Henderson Drive in Aurora will be closed for nearly two weeks, as the town works on sewer connections near Poplar Crescent beginning next week.

The road will be closed for 11 calendar days at Poplar Crescent, so the town can work on sewer connections at Henderson Drive. The closure will start at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

A detour route, along Lee Gate, Richardson Drive and then Murray Drive, or vice versa for those travelling from Yonge Street, will be in place during the construction.

“Your patience and understanding are appreciated while we work to improve the infrastructure in your area,” the town said in a news release. “A town representative will be on site each day to oversee the work being undertaken.”
