Car flips in crash near St. John’s Sideroad

A crash happened Tuesday around 1:40 p.m. near the intersection of St. John's Sideroad and Industrial Parkway North.

A 20-year-old man was charged with careless driving after a dramatic crash in Aurora on Tuesday evening, which saw a car flip onto its roof.

One vehicle, a Kia, was struck on its side, causing it to roll onto its roof off the side of St. John's Sideroad.

The crash happened at around 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, near the intersection of St. John’s Sideroad and Industrial Parkway North.

The 48-year-old female driver of the Kia was not injured in the collision, although ambulance services attended as a precaution, according to York Regional Police spokesperson Const. James Dickson.

Fire crews and police were spotted on the scene shortly after the crash. The road was closed for removal of the vehicles but was opened a short time later.

The driver of a Honda was charged with careless driving in connection with the incident, according to a statement from Dickson.
