A crash Friday night in Markham sent three people to hospital, two of whom suffered life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the two-vehicle collision on Highway 48 at Major Mackenzie Drive. The vehicles were in the ditch. The driver and the passenger from one vehicle were taken to trauma centres with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
All lanes of Highway 48 north of Major Mackenzie Drive were closed until 6:15 a.m.
